Bond University Master of Accounting / Master of Accounting (Professional): application checkpoints before you choose an adviser

Both Bond University accounting masters accept a recognised bachelor degree in any field other than accounting.

Bond University offers two accounting masters for international students: the Master of Accounting and the Master of Accounting (Professional). The main differences are length, credit points and tuition. Entry rules, English scores and intake months are the same for both. Use the points below to test whatever an adviser tells you.

Program identity: codes and CRICOS

  • Master of Accounting: program code BN-13012, CRICOS 063115A.
  • Master of Accounting (Professional): program code BN-13072, CRICOS 063521J.
  • Both are coursework masters degrees in the study area Business, Commerce, and Entrepreneurship.

If an adviser quotes a different code or CRICOS number for the program they are describing, ask why.

Length and credit points differ

  • The Master of Accounting runs 1 year 4 months, or 4 semesters. It carries 120 credit points, all compulsory subjects.
  • The Master of Accounting (Professional) runs 92 weeks. It carries 165 credit points, all compulsory subjects.

The Professional version is the longer one and has more credit points to complete.

Intakes and campus

Both programs list the same four on-campus intakes at the Gold Coast Campus:

  • September 2026
  • January 2027
  • May 2027
  • September 2027

Bond lists both as on-campus study, so neither is presented as an online option.

Tuition for international students

Master of Accounting:

  • 2026: AUD 19,770 per semester, AUD 79,080 for the program.
  • 2027: AUD 20,665 per semester, AUD 82,660 for the program.

Master of Accounting (Professional):

  • 2026: AUD 85,710 for the program.
  • 2027: AUD 89,590 for the program.

Match the figure to your start year. Bond describes tuition as a reference amount that varies with the subjects you choose and the year you start, and the fee that applies is the one for your year of entry.

Two quick tests of any quote:

  • The Master of Accounting per-semester figure multiplied by four should equal the program total.
  • The Professional total should be the figure for your start year, not another year’s.

Academic entry

For both programs, Bond’s entry criterion is successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, in any field other than accounting. A graduate with an accounting major is therefore outside this criterion.

Bond’s regional entry listings for China and Taiwan name the same qualification. It is a recognised 4-year bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree, in a field other than accounting.

English scores

Bond lists these minimums for both programs:

  • IELTS Academic: overall 6.5, no sub-score below 6.0.
  • PTE Academic: overall 58, no communicative score below 50.

Bond also lists a TOEFL iBT option. Compare any adviser’s claim about English requirements with the IELTS and PTE figures above.

Questions to put to an adviser

  1. Which of the two programs are you recommending, and what is its code and CRICOS number?
  2. How many credit points and how many weeks or semesters does it run?
  3. Which intake month and year are you planning for?
  4. Which tuition figure applies to that start year?
  5. Is my bachelor degree in a field other than accounting?
  6. Does my English test result meet the overall and sub-score minimums?

An adviser who answers all six from Bond’s published program details is working from the right facts. Nothing here ranks advisers or predicts an admission result. Fees, intakes and requirements follow what Bond publishes for the year you start.
